He probably is playing games, but struictly sexual relationships can get a little more complicated than that, as you noticed. Maybe you cutting him off did hurt his feelings but not in the context that you're seeing it. A girl that I was FWB with cut me off at one point cause I bought her flowers for valentines day just to be nice and it hurt my feelings even though I didn't have romantic feelings toward her.
