How to make relationship last?

I'm currently in a relationship with a girl and we've been together for a few months. I've been in relationships before, but not like this. I feel like she is the one for me.I'm in love with her for sure. This will be my senior year of high school, and she is starting college. I know a lot of relationships like this don't last, but do you think it's possible to stay together. Her college is only a half hour away, and I already told her I will visit whenever possible vice versa and we will always be in touch at least. I am going to college soon too but it's going to be right around my home so I'm not worried about that either. I trust her and she trusts me, so do you think we can make it last through all of this, or at least know of any couple who have lasted. I do not want to lose her, I want to be with her forever. Any advice on how to make it work as best as it possibly can?
