Why do white people think its racist to only go to a black or hispanic hairstylist?

We don't think it's racist. My mother runs her own hair salon, and she gets plenty of black, and hispanic people that come to her. But, she just refers them to a good hair salon that can do them. She was never taught how, so she won't do it because she will screw up their hair.
