Ugh my parentsssssssssssssss.........…

I understand they means the best for me, but I find it hard to believe they won't let me go to the mall and other places accompanied by friends. I understand if you adults may think this question is somewhat stupid/funny, but I would really like to know. I know they are concerned about my welfare, and it's not me, but rather "others" that they don't trust, but I don't understand why they won't let me go to the mall. There's many people around, and my friends and I are responsible,straight A students with no bad intentions. Can anyone tell me why they are restricting me? btw, I am a 13 year old responsible girl that is the mature vice-president of the student body, makes straight A's and has never let my parents down before. I have talked to them before but they always seem to never give me a straightforward answer (i.e. "We'll talk about this later" ; "I'm too tired to talk about this" ; "Talk to you mother/father about this issue") please help!
