Setting up Home network connection between desktop and Laptop.?

Hi, I want a solution to connect my laptop and Desktop wirelessly..I am currently accessing internet on both through a Wi-Fi connection..I want to a possible way to use my data stored in computer on laptop and Vice-versa..What do I need to do setup a connection between my laptop and Desktop Computer??
